konphas is a composer, sound artist and audio engineer who started producing and performing electronic music in 2019. Growing up in Berlin in the 1990s he was first exposed to Techno and electronic music very early in life. Aside from that, as a life-long musician with an open mind and a classical music education he has always explored a variety of musical instruments and genres.
Holding a master's degree in engineering and having audited composition classes at Berlin's University of the Arts, konphas draws inspiration from intertwining the rational world of technology with the emotional and metaphysical nature of art, which might explain his preference to sculpt sounds using modular synthesizers and programming languages. He focuses both on the raw/hypnotic/dark side of Techno as well as experimental sounds featuring microtonality and spatial aspects. However, at the core of his artistic activity lies a profound rejection of stylistic boundaries and a desire to explore new sonic territory.

konphas has also developed a strong passion for teaching through various workshops and private sessions. Possible topics include psychoacoustics, music theory, ear training, audio production or modular synthesis. Lessons will feature a decent balance between hands-on practical skills and theoretical foundations.
